Dr. Latasha Bacote-Owens has a wealth of knowledge and expertise with over 20 years of experience in the field of education
Dr. Bacote-Owens is a dedicated educational leader with over 20 years of experience that includes: teaching diverse student populations, mentoring and delivering professional development to educators, and presenting at annual child care conferences. Since 2011, her passion grew to supporting students with disabilities as she works to provide inclusive individualized education where all students thrive. Dr. Bacote-Owens has a proven ability to work with educational professionals to enhance teaching practices that will enrich children’s social, cultural, educational, and physical development.

Our Services
Virtual & On-site Training:
Trainings are MSDE approved Core of Knowledge trainings that meet all licensing requirements, fulfill credential obligations, and empower child care providers to grow professionally.
Workshops are offered in the evenings and on Saturdays. All participants must be present for the entire course to receive certification
*Minimum participation for a training session: 10 participants
Coaching as Professional Development:
Coaching as professional development is for child care professionals and programs who want to take a step beyond training. We will work together to design action plans towards achievable goals.
Consultation:
Through customized consultation services we will sit down and discuss your specific program needs. Do you have questions about your current programming needs such as curriculum, parent engagement, inclusive practices? With a consultation, we can work together to get back on the right track.
Trainings
Promoting Positive Social Interactions for Students with Disabilities in Child Care Programs
This training helps childcare professionals support young children’s social and emotional development. This training focuses on the value of creating an inclusive environment to promote positive social interactions for youth of all abilities.
Strengthening Business Practices for Child Care Programs
This specialized training focus on the development and implementation of strategies to strengthen the business practices of child care providers thus leading to improved quality of child care services.
This training contains four modules of business practices content:
• Budgets, Projections, and Planning
• Financial Reports and Internal Controls
• Marketing for Child Care Programs
• Staff Recruitment and Retention
